Applicants Guide - Rating Upgrades and Application Timeframes

We do not issue automatic rating upgrades if our rating levels alter. Awards achieved will only be issued according to the ratings in force at the time of any application. Whenever our ratings change previous ratings on awards achieved by applicants will not under any circumstances automatically reflect any new rating. Applicants seeking a rating change will be required to reapply to our award program and to once again proceed through the assessment process. 

However, if we redesign our award images, and if a previous award achiever makes a written request for a new award image , an award image may be updated and any display of the updated image must have a notation that it is an image update including the original rating and month and year of achievement clearly viewable.

Applications may be sent to us from January 01 through to November 18 in any given year. (Changes to any timeframe will be clearly displayed within this web site.) Timeframes are set to allow a reasonable assessment period for applicants and a good holiday break for our Staff. We are unable to accept applications outside the stated timeframes.

Applications close on the eighteenth (18th) day of each month excluding November / December in any given year.

Web Site of the Month Nominee assessments (if applicable) will be assessed from the 21st to the final day of each month excluding December in any given year.

Web Site of the Year Nominee assessments (if applicable) will be assessed through the month of December in any given year. Any owner of a web site that achieves the O.N.Z.C.D.A™ Web Site of the Month award in November of any given year becoming a Nominee for the O.N.Z.C.D.A™ Web Site of the Year award will, in order to be fair, have their web site assessed for the Web Site of the Year near the end of December each year. This will allow a reasonable time for any required updates to the nominated site to be completed.

We reserve the right to transfer any initial application through to the top of the next consecutive month applicants list. (Example: You make an application on the 17th day of the month and assuming that your web site achieved either our Gold or Platinum award, it would be unreasonable for us to expect we were allowing enough time for you to prepare your web site for our Web Site of the Month assessments starting four (4) days later.) You will be notified if this situation arises.

We also reserve the right to transfer any Web Site of the Month Nominee evaluation through to the next consecutive month Nominees list. (Example: Your web site became a Nominee on the 19th day of the month. Web Site of the Month Nominee evaluations begin within two (2) days. Again, it would be unreasonable for us to expect we were allowing enough time for you to prepare your web site for the current Web Site of the Month assessments.) You will be notified if this situation arises.
