Design Information

This web site is a work under constant development and pages that may not comply with all the requisites are being improved. If you find a page that you think does not conform please let us know.

•  Externally linked style sheets are used to deliver a consistent visual layout.

•  The combination of valid W3C CSS 2.1 (Cascading Style Sheets), W3C Valid XHTML 1.1 and FAE help to maintain a separation between content and presentation enabling the documents to be more easily rendered by non-visual user agents.

•  If your browser does not support style sheets or if they are switched off the content of the page will remain readable and usable.

•  This web site uses only relative font sizes compatible with the user-specified 'text size' option in visual browsers.

•  There is one plug in item required for this web site. The site displays minimal Adobe® Flash® items and you will be required to download the Links will open in new windows. Adobe® Flash® Player to enable your view of these however it is not insisted that you install this resource.

•  JavaScript support is required to use this web site and should be enabled.

Links Information

•  All links are written in a manner to make sense out of context. Many browsers and screen readers such as JAWS for Windows, IBM Home Page Reader, Lynx and Opera can extract the list of links on a page and allow the user to browse the list separately from the page.

•  Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail unless the text of the link already fully describes the target.

•  Adjacent links are separated structurally as list elements.

•  All links can be followed in any browser even if scripting is turned off. An exception to this rule is the 'Text Version' link in the page footer which provides a way of unloading the standard style sheet. This link will not work if Javascript is disabled.

Tables Information

•  There may be minimal use of tables for layout purposes.
