Anh L. Tran launched the “Chopin - The Poet of the Piano” web site on the 150th anniversary of Frederic Chopin's death ( October 17, 1999 ) in memory of the great composer. At that time, the online resources about Chopin and his music were extremely limited and he tried to gather information from different sources especially through the great contribution of visitors in the "Questions" section and the old discussion board ( removed many years ago ) to create a place where visitors could find information about Chopin for school projects, further reading and enjoyment of Chopin music. The web site gained its popularity in a short time and has since been a favorite place for Chopin's music lovers all over the world.
“One of the most thorough and well-researched sites we have ever seen all being displayed within a very functional easy-to-navigate site.”
“A quality site that displays excellent content thus being a concise and compelling resource for the lovers of Chopin.”
“What more could one ask for than to visit an extremely well researched web site with highly functional navigation?”
“Chopin - The Poet of the Piano is truly deserving of many high accolades for making the World Wide Web a much better place for us all to visit. An excellent contribution to WWW.”
