There has been, over time, incidences where many award program owners state within their web sites that the Code of Ethics was written by myself and often display on their Code of Ethics page/s my email address. I hereby clarify to all who may have an interest that -
‡The original Code of Ethics was not composed in whole by myself. It was developed from my original idea and became the culmination of suggestions, ideas and contributions from a variety of conscientious individuals, including myself, within the “Awards Community” during 1999 - early 2000. I did however write the final document.
‡It was the expressed wish of all the relevant individuals that the Code of Ethics be readily available from within the public domain.
‡I have never claimed privately or publicly in writing or verbally the sole authorship of the original Code of Ethics.
‡I have never granted permission for my name or that of my Award Program to be attached to any displayed Code of Ethics statement.
‡I have never granted permission for any email address associated with myself or my Award Program to be displayed within any web site other than my own.
‡I offer a text file copy of the Code of Ethics from my web site for interested parties as a courtesy only.
