Awards Information

Much time, effort and consideration from several persons within the graphic design field these being Karen from New Zealand (web site unavailable), Paul from Australia (web site unavailable), Jerry from the United States (web site unavailable)Link will open in a new window. Tony from Belgium and Cliff from the United Kingdom (web site unavailable) has gone into the design of my awards since late 2000 and I present the unparalleled O.N.Z.C.D.A™ awards with pride providing for your interest brief information on the unique features you will find within them. I sincerely thank all the above graphic designers for their expertise and generosity.

•  The 'Kiwi' represents the worldwide uniqueness of our awards and my personal pride in my country of New Zealand, the award program staff and this award program.

•  The 'Shield' represents the ingenuity, innovation, creativity, hard work, quality, expertise, honor and tenacity of my applicants and award program staff.

Our awards are not permitted to be defaced in any manner nor may they be altered to thumbnails without permission. (For the purposes of this award program the word 'defaced' means: To mar or spoil the appearance, surface and/or impair the usefulness, value or influence of; to disfigure, obliterate or destroy.) Image faders may be used if in keeping with your award program design.

We reserve the right to refuse to issue any award to any web site that in the opinion of our staff does not meet the full minimum requirements for our Awards.

Point Values

•  Merit Award: Voluntarily un-rated with Award Sites! therefore has no Halls of Recognition points value, this award may be achieved when issued at the discretion of our Judges as an encouragement to web site owners who have clearly displayed effort input within their web sites but where our minimum points requirement has not been reached.

•  Bronze and Silver Awards: Voluntarily un-rated with Award Sites! therefore have no Halls of Recognition points value but our other ratings are applicable.

O.N.Z.C.D.A™ awards are currently valued according to the following numeric process:

•  Gold Award - (Value: .5 points.)
•  Platinum Award - (Value: 1 point.)
•  Web Site of Month Award - (Value: 1 point.)
•  Web Site of Year Award - (Value: 1 point.)

Only the highest level award points apply if a web site has achieved several levels from the same award program. This means that if a web site achieves our Platinum, Web Site of the Month and Web Site of the Year awards the 1 point value applies only to the highest award this being the Web Site of the Year award. This is in line with Award Sites! allocating only one point if a web site has achieved more than one award from the same award program.
